Developing Tomorrow’s National Security Leaders — Today 

The AFCEA Belvoir Emerging Leaders (EL) Program is a dynamic initiative that connects, empowers, and supports rising professionals—typically under 40—working in defense, technology, acquisition, and government service. As part of the broader AFCEA International Emerging Leaders network, our local program is designed to cultivate the next generation of mission-focused, civically engaged leaders within the Fort Belvoir and National Capital Region community. 

Program Goals 

  • Foster meaningful mentorship and leadership development 

  • Encourage engagement between junior and senior government/industry leaders 

  • Provide networking, education, and service opportunities 

  • Bridge gaps between emerging talent and mission needs
